After Shira Anthony and I finished writing Lighting the Way Home, a romance novel featuring two gay Jewish main characters, we realized there is not that much LGBT fiction with Jewish characters out there. And absolutely not much Jewish gay or lesbian romance.
I’m starting to put together a resource page with links to authors and books featuring gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered or queer characters or issues, both fiction and nonfiction.
If you write in this subgenre, please fill in this form to add your name and books to the list. If you would like to participate in a Jewish LGBT book promo event, you can sign up on the same form.
Please pass this information on to authors who might like to be part of the list or the event.

If this helps at all, I can think of 3 books, Sweet like Sugar by Wayne Hoffman (which contains LGBTQ characters, Reform Jews and Orthodox Jews) and a new children’s book called Purim Superhero: http://www.amazon.com/The-Purim-Superhero-Elisabeth-Kushner/dp/0761390626 The protagonist has two dads.
Also of note is the children’s book series The Popularity Papers. One of the main characters has two dads, one of which is Jewish.
None of these are romance, but all are worthwhile reads.
Did it eat my comment?
Sweet like Sugar, Wayne Hoffman
The Popularity Papers (a children’s series)
And Purim Superhero (a picture book)

Hey, I recognize you from the Torquere mailing list! My book comes out next month, and all the characters are Jewish, including the lesbian heroine. Should I email you about it during the “yay, it’s published!” free-for-all?
