That “Rubies” novel is finally here!

Reincarnated as THIEF OF HEARTS: Tempted in Thailand, it releases today from Ravenous Romance!  But it’s always going to be “Rubies” to me (and to Jaye Valentine).

I’m so thrilled about it. I loved writing this because I based a lot of it on my own experiences in Thailand over the course of several trips spanning about two months. While writing it I found myself craving Thai food so many times and I decided to learn how to cook a few dishes rather than resorting to the local Thai restaurant!

I put the project on hold earlier this year due to the violence and unrest in Bangkok, which affected me in a way I hadn’t expected. For a country which is absolutely the personification of its nickname “Land of Smiles,” riots and shootings are incredibly rare. I also felt it wasn’t appropriate to release a book during that period, so I pushed back during editing.

But as I got back into the story during the final round of edits I fell in love again with Thailand and the food, and most of all the characters: I hated to see the end of Trent and Reed’s story! I’ve got so many ideas for sequels with them, it’s not even funny. I just need to decide where to set the next one. But chances are it will be another destination I’ve spent time in, so I can relive my own adventures.

And for fans of Rewriting History, there is a very, very good chance Tobin and Pierce may cross paths with Trent and Reed at some point!
