Turns out I'm not crazy after all

I was watching TV a month or two ago and noticed something odd in the show, which I mentioned on Facebook. No one seemed to have noticed the thing, so I wondered whether or not I'd really seen it.

I swore I saw an ad for Bad Teacher (the newish film with Jason Segel) in an old episode of How I Met Your Mother. Sounds crazy, right? Well, it turns out there is some new technology that allows for them to insert new images in old video and it was not my imagination at all.

In fact, there's even an article about it over at Entertainment Weekly's website. They said the ads were inserted only in NY, but I'm watching a San Francisco station with syndicated re-runs, so I suspect they got that part wrong. But it was very interesting and very satisfying to know I'm not losing my mind. Or if I am, thinking I'd seen this wasn't proof.

There was another ad inserted more recently into HIMYM but I couldn't recall until I saw the article (Zookeeper). Guess these particular ads didn't work on me since I haven't seen either film.
